WordPress Wiki 0.9 beta is available for download!

Please report bugs here: .

Once we work out all the kinks, we’ll release the full, public, production-ready version of WordPress Wiki and start preparing for the next version.

Here’s everything that’s new in this version:

  • Custom post types for Wiki Pages for WordPress 3.0+
  • Custom permission set for Wiki Pages in WordPress 3.0+
  • Front-end editing with Wiki syntax or XHTML formatting
  • Wikipedia-style internal and external links
  • Make any existing page into a Wiki Page (not posts yet)

We did remove the admin and front end widgets– we’ll put them back in the next version.

We’re not going to add any more features to this version. Any new feature requests will have to go into the next one. Nearly all of the bugs from the comments have been worked out- please let me know at the bug tracker if it’s still broken.

Please help us squash all the bugs! And thanks for your patience.

    I’m getting an error.

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘wiki_dashboard_widget’ was given in….

  5. When I create a wiki page without any content, I get this error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /../../../wp-content/plugins/wordpress-wiki/lib/WPW_WikiParser.php on line 271

I also get the same error when there is any wiki markup on the page.

When there is content the page still displays the content but also the error.

      Hi Guys,
      I get the same error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /../../../wp-content/plugins/wordpress-wiki/lib/WPW_WikiParser.php on line 271
I believe its due to including the TOC without any elements in it… easily fixed by parsing the first argument in the foreach to array.
Also noticed when trying it out that it does not provide a custom taxonomy or default category,, which is gutting…
good work guys but definitely has some way to go…

For me version 0.9b is working fine, well done Matthew.

May a suggest to include the visual editor for next version?

    Thanks

  7. I’m about to start looking at this plugin for managing the documetation of Prospress.

I just wanted to say thanks for putting it up on GitHub. I always love knowing if I make a fix, I can easily send the patch back to the core and GitHub allows this.

First of all…. really great work ! This is far the best Wiki Plugin for wordpress I know-
But I have to ask you: for me it is important to categorize the Wiki Contributions. But this is not really possible with pages. So I managed all with articles and a menu filled with the categories. If you click one category the you can see all appropriate articles. The big problem is, there are way to much articels to show them in a menu without categorizing them.
Do you plan a Wiki feature for arcticles too ? Or do you know a way to arrange pages in categories ?
